Ayla and Sophia

Last week, Ayla's friend Sophia came over to play so her mama could have a new baby brother for her! The girls had so much fun playing, eating snack, riding in the wagon and just hanging out. Oh, and Sophie has a beautiful new brother named Samuel.

MS Walk

Last weekend, Ayla and I walked for Ayla's Auntie Cheryl at the annual MS walk in Newburyport. It was very chilly, so Ayla had to bundle up.

So Many New Things!

Hello Everyone! Sorry we haven't posted in a while. As you may know, life gets kinda hectic with a 7 and 1/2 month old (yes, you heard right!) and a crazy dog.

Ayla is learning new things every day, and is so much fun to play with! Today she tried a teething cookies for the first time and LOVED it! She even cried when I took it away to give her a sip of juice! We went out to lunch with Grandpa today, and Ayla had her first big girl lunch. She had oatmeal with pears, apple slices (to suck on, of course), puffs, a teething cookie, and milk! WOW! What a four course dinner! She has been slowly getting back on the solids wagon (she was off for a bit due to illness). She eats about 2 oz. at a time... once or twice a day. She has been SO hungry lately, so we're thinking we'll start giving her baby food two or three times a day. Maybe that will get her to sleep through the night! She's waking up 3-4 times per night. Not so fun for mommy and daddy.

Ayla's also learning to crawl! She can scoot around backwards and sideways, but has yet to master the forward crawl. She gets up on all 4s and rocks back and forth, but hasn't quite figured out how to make her hands and knees work in unison.

Recently, her favorite thing to do after a nap or in the morning is to roll over onto her belly, turn on her mobile, find her pacifier, and make happy sounds until someone comes in to say good morning.
She had one of the happiest weekends that she's had in a very long time. Hopefully the winter germies are gone, and our baby can start breathing clearly and enjoying a healthy existence!

I am posting a new link to the right. It will bring you to ALL of Ayla's videos on YouTube. It's fun to go back and see how much she's grown!

Thanks for reading! XOXO

The Prune Pop!

So I put a couple of prunes in Ayla's popsicle and she LOVED it! Yuuuummmmm!

Before...

After!

Lunch with Family

Ayla, Matt, Kota and I all drove to Rhode Island on Saturday to have lunch with Ayla's Nana, Papa, Grandpa, Auntie Jessa, Uncle Rob, and Cousin James. We ordered avocado for A, but she was more interested in playing with the new toy from Grandpa!

Kindermusic

Ayla and I started a new music class last Saturday. We get to see some of our old friends from Mom's Group! Ayla had a blast dancing and singing with her buddies - Katie, Samantha, and Zac. Here's a picture of us. Ayla got a special book and of course it went right in the mouth!

So Big!

I can't believe how big Ayla is! I tell myself that at least 20 times a day. She is now wearing size 6-12 month clothes!!! She responds to her name, scoots herself in circles when on her belly, sits up completely unassisted for long periods of time, eats avocado, apples, prunes, and cereal, loves when mom and dad sing "Barbara Anne," watches Kota intently and likes to pat her nose, and so many other things. I feel like the past month or so has brought about the most change in the shortest period of time. Here are some new pictures.

High Chair

So we went out for a bite to eat tonight and Ayla got to sit in a big girl high chair instead of her car seat! She loved it so much. Lots of people wanted to talk to her and smile at her, which she didn't mind! She was such a good girl in her big girl chair. She played with her windmill toy, watched the people eating and moving around, and even got to eat some avocado!
